Caught by the Tide
EXCITING RIGHT THROUGH-AN ORIGINAL SUBJECT
Two lovers are sitting beneath the cliffs by the sea. They are so engaged with each other's society as to be quite oblivious of the encroaching waves. Suddenly they awake to the fact. They make efforts to reach dry land, and flounder about in the water. A rope is lowered to them from above, to this is tied the girl, and hauled up by six stalwart men, who lose their footing and come tumbling down into the sea, three hundred feet below. They are unhurt, and a smart young fellow comes to the rescue with another rope which he fastens to the end of a traction engine and all are drawn up to safety, a straggling and dripping bundle. Length, 305ft. price £6 2s. net.
The Era, Londres, samedi 15 septembre 1906, p. 34.
