Mexican Fishing Scene

Mexican Fishing Scene
Taken on the Las Vigas Canal, City of Mexico. This is a humorous subject, and shows two Mexican Muchachos, clad in their scant costumes, consisting of a pair of trunks, engaged in their favorite occupation of fishing for eels. A flat-bottomed vegetable boat, suddenly appearing from the background, collides with the boys' craft, and they are unceremoniously precipitated into the water. The boys scramble hastily into their boat to resume their fishing. The background is formed by a luxuriant field of sugar-cane. A sharp, clear film with fine water effects and full of action.

Mr. James White and his able assistant, Mr. Fred W. Blechynder, left this city last night for an extended trip over the Central system. These gentlemen are representing the Edison Electrical Company, of Orange, N.J., and are taking views of characteristic Mexico, for reproduction in the company's kinetescopes, which will be exhibited in the United States. |
