Les Américains Franck Zeveley Maguire et Joseph Deyoe Baucus, agents du phonographe Edison, ouvrent le premier kinetoscope parlor à Londres (70, Oxford Street, 17/10/1894) et deviennent les agents officiels d'Edison pour la commercialisation du Kinetoscope en Europe.

En 1897, Franck Zeveley Maguire et Joseph Deyoe Baucus s'associent avec Charles Urban et la société prend le nom de Warwick Trading Company.

Dès 1896, à l'adresse 33, passage de l'Opéra on trouve le Cinématographe-Kaiser:

12, boulevard des Italiens, 33, passage de l'Opéra, a ses bureaux de vente pour les appareils et films, scènes de tous pays, 27, rue du Château-d'Eau.

On y trouve également, en 1899, les bureaux du journal Le National (1899-) dirigé par Eugène Paul-Emile. L'installation de la Warwick Trading Company (succursale de Paris) est à situer en 1902 et la maison fait passer des annonces dans L'Industriel forain à partir de décembe 1902.

Dès le début de l'année 1903 on y vend des vues cinématographiques:
M. le Directeur de la Warwick Trading Co. Ltd, 33, passage de l'Opéra, à Paris, nous informe qu'il met en vente une collection très intéressante de vues cinématographiques des différentes phases de l'insurrection au Maroc

Curieusement on retrouve Franck Zeveley Maguire à cette même adresse qui commercialise les appareils Rover's & Simplex.

Quant au responsable de la filiale, ça n'est autre que George-H. Rogers qui collabore déjà depuis quelques années avec Charles Urban:
A l’origine, M, Charles Urban avait créé à Paris une maison de vente dont il avait confié la direction à un principal disciple et compatriote, M. Rogers. Celui-ci avait comme son maître l’amour du métier, il se consacra si ardemment à la maison parisienne que celle-ci atteignit bientôt un développement égal au siège de Londres. M. Urban pouvait difficilement mener de front deux affaires aussi importantes et leur donner à toutes deux l’extension dont elles étaient susceptibles. M. Rogers sentait de son côté que la maison de Paris pouvait atteindre entre ses mains un très gros chiffre d’affaires, il proposa donc à M. Charles Urban d’acheter et d’exploiter pour son compte la maison de Paris. Celui-ci accepta.

En février 1903, Charles Urban quitte la société Warwick Trading Company pour fonder la Charles Urban Trading Company (20 juillet 1903). Pendant quelques mois, Charles Urban va continuer à exploiter sa filiale sous son nouveau nom de Charles Urban Trading Company avant de revendre le fonds de commerce à son directeur George-H. Rogers:

Suivant acte sous seing privé, en date à Paris, du huit octobre mil neuf cent trois, M. Charles Urban, demeurant à Paris, 33, passage de l'Opéra, a vendu à M. George.H. Rogers, demeurant à Paris, 33, passage de l'Opéra, le fonds de commeerce ayant trait à la fabrication et la vente d'appareils photographiques, cinématographes, etc., qu'il exploite à Paris, 33, passage de l'Opéra, sous le nom ou désignation de Charles Urban Trading Company, avec le droit au bail, pour entrer en jouissance immédiate.
Les oppositions doivent être faites au domicile du soussigné.

Société Rogers et Roux (1903-1906)
En conformité de l'art. 6 chap. 2 des statuts de votre Société, il a été expressément convenu que tous les effets des apports des fondateurs, MM. Georges-Henry Rogers et Paul-Joseph Roux remonteraient retroactivement au 1er novembre 1905 et que les bénéfices acquis de 1er novembre au 31 octobre 1906 tant pas la Société Rogers et Roux (ancienne maison Charles Urban Trading Cy de Paris) que par la société de l'Eclipse, profiteraient par moitié aux apporteurs et pour l'autre moitié à la Société.
Il résulterait de cette clause, pour les actionnaires de la Société Générale des Cinématograpres Eclipse un bénéfice de six mois d'exploitation pour deux mois d'existence.
J'ai procédé à l'examen de la Compagnie de la Société Rogers et Roux, ainsi qu'à celui de votre comptabilité.

Les résultats de l'exploitation de l'année 1905-1906 de la Société Rogers et roux pour dix mois et de la Société générale des Cinématographes Eclipse pour deux mois, se sont élevés bruts à 272.689 fr. 80 et nets à la somme de 162.644 fr. 05.

Conformément à l'art. 6 chap. 2 des statuts ces bénéfices nets appartiennent: moitié, soit 65.231 francs 50 à la Société Rogers et Roux et l'autre moitié, 65.231 fr. 50 à la Société générale des Cinématographes Eclipse.Les Assemblées générales, 10 janvier 1907, Fasciscule 1, 3e année, p. 103-104
Une nouvelle société se crée alors:
C’est ainsi que fut constituée d’abord la société commerciale Rogers et Roux.

, puis sa continuation, la société actuelle par actions des Cinématographes Eclipse.
Ultérieurement la marque Eclipse continuant 'à se développer, il apparut à M. Rogers que la séparation complète des deux maisons amènerait fatalement celles-ci à se faire concurrence, tandis qu’il y aurait un grand intérêt à ce que tout en conservant leur autonomie propre, les deux maisons fussent réunies et marchassent de concert, se prêtant mutuellement leurs numéros. C’est ainsi que la Société Eclipse fit ce coup de maître d’acheter d’accord avec M. Urban tous les titres de la Charles Urban Trading C° de Londres- Le capital de la Société des Cinématographes Eclipse fut porté en vue de cette opération de 600.000 francs à un million autrement dit, il fut augmenté de 400.000 fr.

The Continental Warwick Trading Co ([1903]-1913)
Charles Raleigh et Robert J. Schwobhaler (ou Schwobthaler), qui, proposent à la vente dès 1903, des productions de la Warwick Trading Company, sont installés 33, passage de l'Opéra, adresse de la Warwick avant sa séparation de Charles Urban. C'est alors que naît la Warwick Continental Trading Co et que Raleigh et Robert déposent les marques "Warwick" (28 novembre 1904) et "Continental Warwick Trading Co Ltd, Paris" (24 février 1905). La filiation s'installe au 16, rue Sainte-Cécile. Au nombre de ses cinématographistes les plus connus, on compte Félix Mesguich, qui raconte dans Tour de manivelle comment il est engagé de janvier à décembre 1905. En janvier 1905, Léo Lefebvre rachète plusieurs brevets de l'American Biograph Mutoscope Français, ce qui semble le conduire à collaborer avec la société. Outre sa fonction de cinématographiste, il va occuper celle de directeur artistique :
The Continental Warwick Trading Company avait convié hier soir la presse et quelques intimes à assister à une séance de projections cinématographiques des plus intéressantes. La vaste salle de la rue Sainte-Cécile, dont les honneurs étaient faits avec une bonne grâce parfaite par notre confrère et ami Léo Lefebvre, directeur artistique, était trop petite pour contenir les invités de MM. Raleigh et Robert.»

Le départ de Félix Mesguich à la fin de l'année 1905, et les nombreux voyages de Léo Lefebvre qui l'éloignent de la Continental Warwick Trading Co conduisent la société à faire appel à de nouveaux cinématographistes dont Maurice Livier, âgé d'à peine vingt ans, et qui va connaître son heure de gloire en participant à la course New-York-Paris. Une photo le représente, juché sur une voiture, devant les bureaux de la société, tenant entre les mains un appareil cinématographique.

Sur une autre photo où figure Raleigh, Robert et Livier, on aperçoit les noms des deux propriétaires sur la devanture de la Warwick Continental Trading Co.

L'annuaire du Commerce (Didot-Botin) l'annonce encore en 1909. Le 19 avril de cette année, l'usine et le théâtre qui se trouvent à Neuilly-sur-Seine sont la proie des flammes. La société est liquidée en 1913.
