POOLE'S MYRIORAMA.-On Monday next, Poole's well-known Myriorama is to visit the Public Hall, Ipswich. To judge from the advertised programme, as well as from the previous entertainments given by this now famous show, there can be no doubt that it will prove a considerable source of attraction during its visit. There can be no complaints about lack of variety, for the myriorama besides the part of the performance to which the name more strictly applies, includes items as varied as some particularly fine performances by leaping dogs, comic work by Mr. Stewart Braide, and the "Dexterous Dolfs," singing by the soprano vocalist, Miss Lillie Poole, a myriograph (which it may be added is an improved variant of the cinematographe), a tight-wire performance by Miss Lizzie Keith, and other good things in plenty. As for the myriorama proper, the special attraction on this occasion is very fittingly occupied with "Savage South Africa." Then there are pictures representing the Soudan, including one of Lord Kitchener at Omburman. The "Spanish and American War," completes the highly interesting topical part of the programme. The show is accompanied by an orchestra of solo performers. There will be special mid-day performances each Wednesday and Saturday at 3.

L' "Army Life" de Robert-William Paul (Lecture Hall, 5-6 novembre 1900)
Walter R. Booth, après avoir travaillé avec David Devant pendant deux saisons, se retrouve désormais avec le cinématographiste et éditeur de films, Robert-William Paul. L'équipe qui a organisé quelques séances à Norwich arrive à Ipswich, c'est tout un programme qui est présenté au Lecture Hall, les 5 et 6 novembre 1900 :
A SOLDIER' S LlFE.—Those interested in the Army should not fail to visit the Lecture Hall this evening, for by seeing Mr. R. W. Paul's series of animatograph pictures depicting Army life and the way soldiers are made, they will, in a short time, learn more about the "Sons of Mars" than they could in any other way. The entertainment, which was for two days only, commenced on Monday evening, and almost every aspect of a soldier's life was illustrated by the pictures, which are excellent, no better, surely, having been seen in Ipswich. To add to the interest, a lecturette, entitled "Characteristic features of the British Army," was given, and pictures of the return of the C.I.V. are shown. Mr. Oldbury Brough performed vocally, and Mr. W. R. Booth (from Maskelyne and Cook's) did a few simple conjuring tricks, and in other ways presumably mystified the audience.

Les Animated Photographs de la Maskelyne and Cooke's Regional Company (Public Hall, 5-10 mai 1902)
La Maskelyne and Cooke's Regional Company organise des spectacles en Grande-Bretagne depuis juillet 1899. David Devant en est le responsable et il accompagne la troupe. L'équipe a donné quelques séances à Cambridge. À Ipswich, le spectacle a lieu pendant la semaine du 5 mai 1902, au Public Hall :

Même si l'annonce ne fait pas explicitement mention de vues animées, nous savons que tout au long de la tournée, des films terminent le spectacle. Quelques jours plus tard, la troupe quitte Ipswich.
1904
Les Animated Photographs de la Maskelyne and Cooke's Regional Company (Public Hall, 18-23 avril 1904)
David Devant, toujours responsable de la Maskelyne and Cooke's Regional Company, est de retour à Ipswich, pour de nouvelles séances. La troupe vient de Norwich où elle a passé quelques jours. À Ipswich, la première a lieu le lundi 18 avril, au Public Hall, et les soirées vont se poursuivre pendant une semaine.

Comme souvent, les vues animées ne sont pas annoncées, car elles ne constituent plus qu'un élément secondaire des représentations, mais on peut penser qu'elles sont toujours présentées. La troupe se rend ensuite à Chelmsford.

POOLE'S MYRIORAMA AT IPSWICH.
Messrs. Harry and Fred. Poole, who have on former occasions proved themselves so capable of charming Ipswich audiences, are giving, in the Public Hall during the week commencing this (Monday) evening, their Russo-Japanese War Myriorama. Messrs. Poole have achieved a complete success with their noted myriograph, which faithfully depicts scenes taken from the crisis in the Far East, including some realistic pictures naval fights, such as the blowing up the Russian transport Yenesei, and the attack and defence of Port Arthur. The management are also presenting a distinguished coterie of star features, performing on a specially-constructed stage, and thus giving their audiences novelties only to be seen at the principal London halls. At each performance Poole's Orchestral Band, under the direction of Mr. Brierley, will give selections.
