The Sixtieth

The Sixtieth, or, Diamond Jubilee University Boat Race

(Rowed "Wednesday, April 1st, 1903, in pouring rain.)

THE photographs were taken from a boat specially moored just below Thorneycroft's Works. From this position a good perspective view is obtained. and shows the boats racing up from the distance, followed by the Umpire and Press Boat, until they get right up to the camera. By means of the panoramic device the crews are kept well in view. Afterwards a photograph of the winning crew, carrying their oars up, and then their boat, was secured. Good quality.
