The Fraudulent Beggar
An apparently legless individual is receiving alms dropped into his hat by sympathetic passers-by, when a policeman accosts the beggar who hands the latter a coin. While the "guardian of the peace" is examining same, the beggar suddenly developes into a sprinter, whom the policeman chases up the street. The sudden transformation is startling and amusing.
