Trotting Match

A very picturesque comer of a racecourse, overshadowed by a huge chestnut tree, is here shown. The trotting race is a handicap, in which a very large number of contestants take part. These are seen coming from the distance, and passing quite close very rapidly, one after another faster and faster as the more heavily handicapped drivers come round. At the end of the picture a close finish is seen in which the successful racer succeeds in overhauling and passing two of his most serious rivals.
