Royal Procession Entering the City Gates

This is one of the finest procession photographs ever made. The scene shows the gaily decorated streets lined with soldiers, and in the background is a realistic representation of the ancient city gate of Dublin. The gates are thrown open by the Beefeaters in attendance, and the Royal procession of several carriages and the Queen’s body-guard, &c., pass through. As the last carriage, showing He Majesty, comes into the field of view, the crowd cheers enthusiastically and waves handkerchiefs and hats in great excitement.
