The Egg-Laying Man

132. The Egg-Laying Man. In this film the entire field of view is filled by the head and shoulders of a man, who, after making a few comic grimaces, takes an egg from between his lips. Another egg commences to protrude, and so on until four eggs are lying on the table before him. Then, resuming his cigarette, he proceeds to break one of the eggs into a cup, but, in spite of the fact that it would seem to have been newly laid, the odour is so powerful as to overcome the man. Length 75 ft.

The Egg-Laying Man

In this film the entire field of view is filled by the head and shoulders of a man, who, at the commencement of the picture, is smoking a cigarette. After making a few comic grimaces, which clearly reveal the fact this his mouth is empty, he seems to be in considerable difficulty with something swelling up in it, which, in a few moments, turns out to be an egg, and this he takes from between his lips immediately after, in full view of the audience. Another egg commences to protrude, and so on, until four eggs are lying on the table before him. Then, resuming his cigarette, he proceeds to break one of the eggs into a cup, but, in spite of the fact that it would seem to have been newly laid, the odour is so powerful as to overcome the man and bring the picture to an end.

The Egg-Laying Man

A man is seen seated at a table smoking a cigarette, and, after a few pulls, he is seen to make some grimaces, showing to all spectators that his mouth is empty, but in a few moments he evidently experiences a swelling within and comes to view as an egg, which he removes from his mouth. This is repeated until four eggs are brought to view, and resuming his cigarette he breaks one of the eggs into a cup, but it is apparently not as fresh as it might by by the gesticulations which it gives rise to.
A well thought out film of the trick order, very realistic and amusing.
