[L'Amour volé]

Cupid stolen

The old Hymen finds Cupid asleep. He takes advantage of the opportunity and steals his quiver. Very proud of his larceny and thinking that he will get his youth back, he calls a young and petty maid and offers her his love, but she knows better ans refuses.
The old Hymen soon fins out that his treasure is useless for him and Cupid who arrives, tells him:
I was not asleep at all and I have seen you taking the quiver, but it is not sufficient to conquer the love, you must have first of all the arrow.
Hymen is quite disconcerted and a handsome and vigourous youth comes tackes the arrow and pierces the heart of the pretty maid.
