COMMITTEE MEETING.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Hawera Industrial Exhibition was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening. The President (Mr B. C. Robbins) was in the chair, and about sixteen other gentlemen were present.

Letters were read,
From a number of firms agreeing to' take up space.
From Scott Bros., Dunedin, offering a stove as a points prize in the cookery divison. The offer, was accepted with thanks.
From Frank St. Hill, asking for a space, 20 x ,34, at the Exhibition upon which to give cinematograph, entertainments. — The Chairman suggested that to give permission, would be to set up opposition to the committee's own sideshows. Mr Stevens moved that the space be given at &20. 1 This was seconded. Mr Wilson asked whether the space could be spared. Aft^r further discussion the application was referred to the Amusement Committee with power to act, the price to be £20.

Mr T. J. West, proprietor of West's Pictures, who recently showed for two nights in Hawera, has been commissioned by the Government to take a series of animated pictures of the wonder scenes of New Zealand for exhibition in Britain.
