Le Cinematograph de Mr. Hudson (Theatre Royal, 20->20 janvier 1897)
Mr. Hudson, qui se produit au Theatre Royal, annonce l'arrivée prochaine d'un cinématographe :
Mr Hudson who with his talented company now performing at the Theatre Royal, caters so successfully for the amusement of the Calcutta public, is keeping abreast of the times and is ever on the look-out for something new with which to please his patrons He is now bringing out from Europe the latest scientific illusion, called the cinematograph, which will arrive here by the BISN Steamer Manora ın a few days. The cinematograph is, at present, creating a sensation throughout England and the Continent and was exhibited by special command before Her Mahesty the Queen at Windsor Castle recently. Among the living pictures which it presents are “The Czar's “procession in Paris, “Scene at a railway station", ‘Spanish long-horned cattle on the march’, ‘A river scene with pleasure boats’, “The tight rope dancer’, “Cabby and his fare’, A gallant rescue’, ‘The nipple effect on the Water’, ‘The carpenter at work’, ‘Harnessing the donkey’, and the ‘Place Republique in Paris’. This novelty will be exhibited at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday next, the 20th instant, and will form part of the programme. It had drawn crowd in all other parts of the world and should certainly attract the Calcutta public.
