Le Kinetoscope de l'England Brothers (<22 novembre-1er décembre 1894)
Un kinestoscope fonctionne dans le magasin England Brothers en novembre.
The Berkshire Eagle, Pittsfield, jeudi 22 novembre 1894, p. 5.
En décembre, un article offre quelques informations complémentaires :
The wonderful Edison kinetoscope has been on exhibition in England Brothers store this week, and Pittsfield people have had a splendid opportunity to witness the workings of this most marvelous machine. As one gazes down through the aperture in the top of the cabinet, he sees a veritable "living picture." A French dancer was giving an exhibition when we looked into the machine, and every motion she made was perfectly reproduced. So perfectly is the thing done that one could almost hear the "swish" of her skirts as she circled gracefully about. At one side sat a man playing a violin, while every motion of two men at the back of the stage can be seen. Truly, enough, Edison is a "wizard." His kinetoscope is simply a marvel, and as one witnesses its reproduction of motion, he can but wonder "what next?'' We wonder if Pittsfleld people really appreciate the enterprise of England Brothers in bringing this wonderful machine here?

L'Amet Magniscope (Academy of Music, 26 avril-2 mai 1897)
La Sawtelle's Dramatic Co. présente un spectacle où figure l'Amet Magniscope :
AMUSEMENTS.
Sawtelle's Dramatic Co.
The above well known powerful dramatic company, comprising over 30 people, including the Imperial band and orchestra will commence a week's engagement at the Academy of Music next Monday night, opening in the strong, sensational and realistic six act drama, "The Streets of New York." The company has an entire carload of special scenery, stage settings, costumes, etc., with which they dress the stage in perfect keeping with each act. There will be daily matinees after Monday, and cheap prices will prevail. See advertisement in this paper for list of plays for the week. A great feature of each performance will be the "up-to-date" animated pictures by the wonderful "amet-magniscope." They are indeed marvelously realistic.
