WAS A RARE TREAT.
The Moving Picture Entertainment Largely Attended and Highly Appreciated.
The Polyscope moving picture machine which exhibited at the Davidson theatre last night was a success in every feature. The pictures were good and the large crowd in attendance was highly pleased. The program contained some magnificent scenes. The first thrown on the canvass was that of William Jennings Bryan at his home in Lincoln, Neb., receiving friends. The commoner could plainly be seen walking about his yard and shaking hands with his political friends. The scene of Admiral Dewey's return was another excellent one. The great hero could be seen bowing to the right and left as he I wheeled through the streets of New York. The falling snow in this was especially noticeable. The runs of the Denver fire department were so plain that one fellow in the audience recognized an acquaintance who was to be seen standing on a street corner chatting with friends. This was one of the best pictures of the program. That of Fort Scott's crack fire department was a fine one also. Every move of the horses and men could be seen and this picture elicited applause from the audience. The W. O. W. drill team in their drill work was the last one thrown on the canvass. Every member of the team could be recognized by the audience. The entertainment was a financial success and the funds derived will be used in transporting the drillers to the world fair.
