Mount Taw R.R. nº 3

Taken on the line of the Mount Tamaltais [sic] Scenic R.R., Marin County,Cal. Whereas the foregoing views were ascending, this is a descending view, the camera being placed on the front end of a train, which follows another, consisting of two passenger coaches and an engine, down the steep grades and around numerous curves. The background constantly changes, in some instances being formed by mountains looming up in the distance and in still other cases over valleys with clouds in the extreme background. The background in this picture is particularly beautiful, in some instances immense rocks showing, in others dark jagged rocks and in other instances trees and underbrush. The film is exceptionally good from a photographic standpoint, and the constantly changing view makes it a subject of unusual interest. The light and shadow effects are exceptionally fine, and the foliage of the trees stands out clear and distinct.
