Le cinématographe de John Mackenzie (Allangrange/Killearnan, 7 mars 1901)
John Mackenzie organise une projection cinématographique :
KlLLEARNAN—ENTERTAINMENT.—On Thursday, 7th inst., Mr Mackenzie, Inverness, gave an exhibition of special and cinematograph show in the Killearnan Public School. The building, which is a commodious one, was filled to its utmost capacity, and the large audience were for two hours simply enraptured by the kaleidoscopic exhibition projected on the screen by a powerful cinematograph. At intervals an excellent phonograph gave a pleasing variation of musical selection and songs. The various oinematograms, including a number of South African war scenes, were highly appreciated, but the chief attraction of the prograrnme was the realistic scenes depicting the Queen's funeral. The original funeral marches, so well played by Mrs Wickes, gave a most touching effect to the solemn procession.
