SACRED CONCERT.-On 'Xmas night a sacred concert was given in the Grand Theatre, Hebburn, when a special programme, included Downey's Living Photos and the Cinematograph. The artistes taking part were Miss Muriel Howard, The Excelsior Glee Singers, Mr J. Pearce, alto, Mr J. G Taylor, tenor, Mr R. Hunter, baritone, Mr J. Wilson, basso. Mr. Fred Lyon presided at the piano.

CONCERT AT HEBBURN.—The attraction at the Hebburn theatre last night was a miscellaneous entertainment, of which Mr. Downey's living pictures formed the leading feature. The views were of interesting character, and were greatly appreciated by the large company present. Other contributors to the entertainment were Mr Harry Nelson, the well known Tyneside comedian, who greatly amused the audience; Miss Hilda Baillie, known as "The Tiny Wonder,'' who appeared twice, and achieved great success with her musical sketch, " The Dolly's Birthday Party,"; and Dick Batchelor, the favourite local comedian.

SUNDAY CONCERT.— On Sunday evening a concert in aid of the funds to cover the expenses of the Hebburn Colliery Prize Silver Band going to London for the great contest at the Crystal Palace was given in the theatre. The artistes were Miss Ada Scott, soprano : Mr James A McElvogne, baritone; Mr J. Moulding, cornet solo. During the evening the band played the Crystal Palace test piece. The challenge cup was also on exhibition. A number of. Downey’s living pictures were likewise shown.

SACKED CONCERT.—On Sunday evening a sacred concert was given in the theatre, the proceeds being in aid of a member the Hebburn Amateur Dramatic Society. Amongst the artistes engaged were Miss McCusker, contralto; Miss Mackay, soprano; Miss Tansey. soprano; and Miss Jeffrey, mandolinist; Messrs Hutchinson, barritone ; Curry, bass ; Foy, tenor ; Taylor, tenor ; Duskin, tenor Burt, tenor. The Hebburn Temperance Band was also in attendance. A number of Downey’s living pictures were shown.
