Le kinetoscope de Charles MacMahon (Exhibition Theatre, 28 juin-1er juillet 1895)
Le kinetoscope de Charles MacMahon arrive à la fin du mois de juin.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, vendredi 28 juin 1895, p. 1.
La presse offre des comptes rendus des séances et annonce le prochain départ :
The interest taken by the public in Edison's marvellous Kinetoscope, which will be on view in Geelong to-day for the last time, has been very pronounced. On Saturday the Exhibition Theatre was visited by crowds of people anxious to see the wonderful machine in operation, and the exclamations of astonishment to which they gave frequent expression showed how strongly they were impressed by the latest triumph of the great electrician. An entirely new set of subjects will be presented to-day and evening, including an exhibition of strength by Sandow, the most powerful man in the world ; "Annabelle," the American skirt dancer; an " Indian war dance," " The boxing cats," and " Buffalo Bill." This will be the last opportunity of witnessing the marvellous machines in Geelong, as arrangements have been made for their exhibition in Sydney on Saturday next.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, lundi 1er juillet 1895, p. 2.

Quelques jours plus tard, un article est publié dans la presse :
THE PHONOSCOPE.
During the few afternoons and evenings this wonderful invention has been on exhibition in a shop in Ryrie-street, next to Mr A. G. Clark's premises, a large amount of interest in it has been displayed by the public. The instrument is a combination of the kinetoscope and the phonograph, and is truly a marvellous production from Edison's laboratory. Whilst viewing vocalists exhibited on the stage by means of electricity the viewer also listens to the songs being sung by the artists. It is the first time the phonoscope has been shown in Geelong, although the kinetoscope was shown here about 12 months since by the M’Mahon Bros.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, lundi 6 juillet 1896, p. 3.
Vers la fin du mois de juillet, le départ du phonoscope est annoncé pour bientôt :
The phonoscope, during the few days that it will remain in Geelong, will be open to the public at 6d, and the popular favorites will be given.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, lundi 20 juillet 1896, p. 2.
Une dernière annonce est publiée le 22 juillet.
