Quelques jours plus tard, un article est publié dans la presse :
THE PHONOSCOPE.
During the few afternoons and evenings this wonderful invention has been on exhibition in a shop in Ryrie-street, next to Mr A. G. Clark's premises, a large amount of interest in it has been displayed by the public. The instrument is a combination of the kinetoscope and the phonograph, and is truly a marvellous production from Edison's laboratory. Whilst viewing vocalists exhibited on the stage by means of electricity the viewer also listens to the songs being sung by the artists. It is the first time the phonoscope has been shown in Geelong, although the kinetoscope was shown here about 12 months since by the M’Mahon Bros.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, lundi 6 juillet 1896, p. 3.
Vers la fin du mois de juillet, le départ du phonoscope est annoncé pour bientôt :
The phonoscope, during the few days that it will remain in Geelong, will be open to the public at 6d, and the popular favorites will be given.
Geelong Advertiser, Geelong, lundi 20 juillet 1896, p. 2.
Une dernière annonce est publiée le 22 juillet.
