ARDERSIER.-Mr. J. Mackenzie gave one of his wonderful and popular exhibitions with the cinematograph in the Public School on Tuesday evening. The room was crowded, and two hours of genuine instruction, amusement, and humour wew thoroughly enjoyed by the appreciative audience. The meeting was under the auspices of the Cromwell Lodge of Good Templars. The members have just got their heads above water in the matter of their new Hall. In return for generous support given by the public, they hand over some £6, as the free proceeds of the entertainment, to the Village Lighting Committee.

ENTERTAINMENT.—Last Friday Mr Mackenzie, Inverness, gave his famous cinematographic exhibition in the Public School, Ardersier, at the request of the School Library Committee. The entertainment was directly under the patronage of the School Board, the chairman of which, Mr J. S. Robertson, factor for Cawdor, presided. The popularity of Mr Mackenzie's entertainments in Ardersier is such that the school was densely crowded long before the hour of starting, many people being content to stand in the lobbies and doorway. About two hundred people had to be turned away, there being no chance of their obtaining admittance, so the committee, through Mr D. Macbean, asked Mr Mackenzie if he would repeat the entertainment the following night, which Mr Mackenzie agreed to do.
