WHO says that animated photography has had its day ? On the afternoon of September 18th the directors of the Alhambra, London, and Mr. R. W. Paul invited us to a private view of an original series of animated photographs entitled " Army Life." We went and found the huge theatre packed from floor to ceiling with a stylish audience. The show, which lasted a little over one hour, was in every respect excellent, and the whole of the photographs shown had been taken by Mr. Paul by permission of Sir Evelyn Wood. In one hour thousands of spectators received a complete instruction in the methods and practices adopted in our army, and were at the same time amused. Such an achievement would be impossible but for the cinematograph.
