WITH THE RUSSIAN ARMY IN SIBERIA
A wonderful series of pictures showing the various phases of transport of the Czar's vast army across the Siberian desert from St. Petersbourg to Manchuria.
NOTE.-This and the preceding are the only series of actual Pictures from the Far East connected with the Russo-Japanese War.
Photographed by MR. GEORGE ROGERS.
They were secured at great expense, besides entailing hardship and endurance under most difficult conditions on behalf of Mr. Rogers-who braved a 19,000 miles journey through Russia, Siberia and over the frozen Baikal Lake in the midst of winter (with thermometer at 10 to 30 degrees below zero) into Manchuria, in order to depict scenes in connection with the vast task of transporting the Russian Troops across this bleak territory to meet their foes in the Far East.
