COLLIE DOGS AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE The 12th annual show of the Collie Club, a body which embraces among its member snearly the whole of the breeders and fanciers of this class of the canine species, opened yesterday at the Crystal Palace-a space being reserved in the centre transept for the purposes of the exhibition. The show of dogs on this occasion is as large as that of last year. To add to the interest of the show there is a separate section for the old English sheep dog, ans here some 48 doys were kennelled, all good pedrigree animals.The Scotsman, 7 April 1897, p. 11
