Le Cinématographe de John Benett-Stanford (Old British Schoolroom, 17 mai 1899)

Le correspondant de guerre du Western Morning News, John Benett-Stanford donne des conférences sur son travail lors de la guerre au Soudan. Il projette des vues fixes et des vues animées dont une tournée la veille de la bataille d'Omdurman (Alarming Queen's Company of Grenadier Guards at Omdurman) :

Benett-Stanford, who acted as War Correspondent for Western Morning News, gave his popular lecture on this subject in the old British Schoolroom on Wednesday evening, the proceeds being devoted to the Parish Nurse Fund. Mr. Benett-Stanford’s remarks were illustrated by some capital lantern slides giving portraits of officers, incidents in the campaign, &c., concluding with couple of cinematographs.
