Mexican Rurales Charge
This picture was taken at Guadalupe Hidalgo, on a fine level plain, with Mexican hills rising abruptly in the background. It shows the 4th Company Rurales de la Federacion, led by the famous warrior, Col. Francisco de la Benavides, making the charge. They are clad in their picturesque full-dress regulation uniform. The picture opens with the cavalry, with drawn sabres, charging at full speed, head on to the audience. They pass the audience close to the camera, wheel about and make as vivid a charge in the other direction. As they sweep by the audience they leave a dense cloud of dust, from which they emerge in the distance. These men are famed for their horsemanship and skill with the sword. Full of action, charp and clear.

Mr. James White and his able assistant, Mr. Fred W. Blechynder, left this city last night for an extended trip over the Central system. These gentlemen are representing the Edison Electrical Company, of Orange, N.J., and are taking views of characteristic Mexico, for reproduction in the company's kinetescopes, which will be exhibited in the United States. |
