The Folies-Bergere is closed. Darkness there, and nothing more. I had just about decided that there was nothing at all new on the Paris music hall carpet when through the courtesy of Ben Nathan of London I was able to see a private view of a new “bio-phonograph” invented by M. Normandin. This tries to solve the vexed question of combining the biograph and the phonograph.
The pictures are captured by the former and the sounds by the latter. One view showed a tenor singer, life-size, who went through all the Italian gestures of his song, and gave the song at the same time...
