Opening of Parliament. Tuesday, Feb. 17th, 1903.

The third session of the first Parliament of King Edward was opened by His Majesty accompanied by the Queen, with all the ceremonials which generally characterise the occasion, the picture opening with Life Guards, Beefeaters, and five State Carriages, each drawn by six bays. Their Majesties The King and Queen follow in State Coach drawn by the eight magnificent creams. As the King passes the front of the camera, an excellent portrait of him is secured, and by means of a panoramic device, the State Coach is kept in view for some considerable time, making a picture of great interest.

THE above procession was also taken from another position, obtaining a fine perspective view from Abingdon Street, having the Houses of Parliament ns a background, which adds greatly to the pictorial beauty of this picture.
