The Bathers

The Bathers (Reversing Film)

The first half of this film is devoted to an ordinary representation of a couple of bathers who arrive at the river's brink and take off their clothes, throwing them down in reckless disorder. Underneath they wear bathing suits, and when they have arrived at this stage they each take a header into the water. Scarcely have they done so, however, when the action is reversed, and the men are seen to be leaving the water feet first. After performing a graceful curve in the air they land on their feet, dry, and their clothes are seen to be flying up to their hands, one by one, producing an effect which is weird and extremely comic.
