Le Projecting Kinetoscope (Armory Hall, 15 janvier 1897)
Le Projecting Kinetoscope présente des vues animées en janvier :
A Splendid Entertainment.
Following is what the Red Bluff Sentinel has to say in regard to the projecting Kinetoscope entertainment in that city: The wonderful projecting Kinotoscope [sic] was seen for the first time in Red Bluff last night, and the Pavilion Opera House was filled with a large crowd to witness the life-like scenes full of action and amusement thrown on the canvass. The New York Market scene, showing horse cars, wagons, people walking and talking was greatly appreciated. The bathing scene at Far Rockaway, the bucking bronco, the Niagara Falls and the umbrella and buck dances were fine indeed. The phonograph gave some fine selections easily beard all over the house.
The following is taken from the Stockton Record:
The boiling of the water in the wake of the vessel is exactly as it is in real water when stirred by a propeller. It is marvellous, exciting. Were Patti at the theatre to-night the people could well afford to ignore Patti to view this wonderful water scene and some others that follow this triumph of science aver the law of motion.
This wonderful entertainment will be given at Armory Hall to-night and tomorrow night, and as you may not be able to see anything of the kind again for years, you should attend. Admission 25c, reserved seats 35c.
