The vitascope oponed at Emery hall Tuesday evening to a good audience both in quantity and quality. The exhibition was perfectly satisfactory and more exceeding all expectation by its wonderful workings. The Instrument was set up in the back gallery and in the vlews thrown upon a canvas set in the back grooves of the stage. Fifteen of the beautiful moving pictures were shown opening with a scene from Hoyt's Milk White Flag, and closing with the Wilder Jones's kiss, which sent the audience home in good humor. The grand surf scene, the fire rescue, Ellsworth bar room, camel parade, umbrella dance, Irish politics and the interrupted lovers were loudly applauded.
The electricity for operating the light and motor was furnished by taking the street manner. Mrs. L. M. in Hopkins played appropriate airs on the plano for each scene. The second last exhibition takes place Wednesday evening.
