Le Vitagraph de George Chard présente des vues animées en juin :
AMUSEMENTS IN MORECAMBE.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
WINTER GARDENS.-Manager, Mr Wm. Holland.- The Victoria Pavilion not being ready, the Oriental Ballroom was again requisitioned. A capital programme was presented, in which Mons. Jules Riviere and his orchestra held a deservedly high place. Madame Emily Squire's excellent vocalisation was also a prominent feature of the first half, a charming rendering of "Killarney " securing a hearty encore. In the variety portion Paul, the equilibrist, was clever indeed, which may also be said of the Avrigny Troupe of jugglers. Brown, Newland, and Le Clerq were funny in their "burnt cork" turn, and Conn Fredericks's demon a ladderites were also to the fore. Chard's Vitagraphe was good. The Brothers Huline gave a first-class musical clown turn.

Les séances se prolongent en juillet :
CHARD'S Vitagraph, now showing at the Winter Gardens, Morecambe, has already run a month, and is to continue for four weeks longer. One of the pictures, which are 25 ft. wide, depicts the Lord Mayor handing the "City sword" to the Queen on Jubilee Day.

La presse indique ainsi parfois quelques titres :
ORIENTAL BALLROOM, WINTER GARDENS.-General Manager, Mr Wm. Holland.-In this hall Chard's Vitagraphe is shown thrice daily, and it is a very popular item. As before mentioned, the pictures are shown nearly the full size of the proscenium opening, and excellent views of the Jubilee procession convey a faithful impression of the late events in London. The various personages and troops are cheered by the audience, who for the time are carried away by the life-like representations. Other highly successful scenes portrayed include Maypole Dance, Outside Post-office (Leeds), Man with Nightmare, &c., and, as a finale, the Flying Dutchman Express, with effects which never fail to secure a big round of applause only satisfied by a reproduction. Cee Mee and Family stay another week; and the other turn is Bock Pylades in a mimetic quick change performance entitled Twenty Minutes at Madame Tussaud's. Mr Vetter's band provides capital dance music.

Le Vitagraph de George Chard (Winter Gardens, <20->27 août 1898)
Le Vitagraph de George Chard présente des vues animées en août :
WINTER GARDENS.-General Manager, Mr Wm. Holland.-Mr. Riviere's orchestra continues to delight. numerous audiences, and this week the artistic singing of Miss Emily Davis is no inconsiderable factor in the success of the first half of the programme. The variety turns include the Five Jees, who this week put on their well - known " Musical Smithy " act; Miss Katherine Roland, in some beautiful prismatic dances; and the Abdullah Troupe of Arabs. Lockhart's elephants again prove the most striking item of the programme. Chard's Vitagraphe, ably introduced by Mr S. Weller, pays a popular return visit.
