A well-chosen dramatic subject was a scene from The Broken Melody, in which Paul Borinski (in the person of Mr. Auguste Van Biene) is reunited to his wife. The playing of the 'cello looked very real, and the actions of the characters were vivid and lifelike.

THE EDEN
For a play to visit a town several times within a comparatively short period, and to draw big and enthusiastic houses on every occasion, speaks volumes for its quality. That is what "The Broken Melody," with which M. Auguste Van Biene is inesperably connected, has done, and is once more doing this week at the Eden. The secret of its success is not far to seek.
