Vaudeville Entertainment Will be Given Aug 28 and 29
The dates for the firemen’s benefit, to be given by the Edward Shields Vaudeville Co., will be Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug 28 and 29 The company will give moving picture of the local firemen and apparatus in action and also of the firefighters of the White City, Chicago.
A high-class vaudeville entertainment also will be given, the star attraction being Sadie Sherman, an artist of more than ordinary ability.
Tickets will soon be placed on sale, and a good sale is expected, as half of the proceeds will go to create a benefit fund for disabled and sick firemen.

The pictures of the local fire fighters in action were taken on a cloudy day, and while all are not as clear as some of the others, the movements displayed, and the greater number of pieces of apparatus in the run gives the Lansing department prestige over all but the White City fire fighters, who are in a class by themselves.
