A Large Advance Sale of Tickets for Tuesday Night.
Elaborate Program Is Arranged for the Entertainment.
The sale of seats for the firemen's benefit, which will be given at the New Club theatre on Tuesday night, has been unusually large. An unusual amount of interest has been taken in the exhibition.
Chief Sigars received copies of the program yesterday from the Selig Polyscope company of Chicago. The letter is a follows:
Chicago, Ill., April 9, 1903.
Mr. J. C. Sigars, Joplin, Mo.:
Dear Sir-We herewith enclose you program for your benefit entertainment to be given on the 14th inst. We are pleased to say that the pictures taken at Joplin of your fire department are very fine, as good as any we have made. They will be shipped to you tomorrow, addressed to our manager, Mr. Fortune, in your care. Thanking you very kindly and hoping you will have a big crowd at your benefit. Very truly,
