AN EXCELLENT MAGIC-LANTERN ENTERTAINMENT-was given at the School on Friday evening, and by the kindness by the Rev. J. M. and Mrs. Palmer it was thrown open to the inhabitants of the village. The exhibition was by Mr. Dore, of Sandown, and amongst the subjects especially worthy of notice were beautiful groupe of flowers, for which Mr. Dore is celebrated. He also showed some animated photographs, which are stated to be the best exhibited in te provinces, and they called forth much applause. The last picture exhibited was the Queen, and Mr. Palmer called upon the audience to sing "God save the Queen," which met with a most hearty response and brought a very excellent entertainment to a close.
