The Monkeys of Borneo
Here we have a young and lazy orang-outang, the great monkey of Borneo. They are very valuable in Europe, although common in the jungle of the wild interior. The natives declare them to be the strongest of all wild animals. They have long and very strong arms, and can pull a man to pieces.
The pig-tailed monkey is a comic fellow, and gets very excited at the sight of an enemy, showing his teeth and rapidly moving from side to side.
The "Kra'' is another Borneo monkey, small, ·with a very long tail and gentle ways. He is seen peacefully enjoying himself in the boughs of trees.
