Elephants Bathing in a Ceylon River

These elephants, kept by the descendants of some of the Old Chiefs, near Kandy, have been taught to work and earn their own living. They are here seen being "cleaned up" after their day's work, and one will be especially noticeable by the fine tusks he has. These fine fellows and the beautiful rivers with its banks covered with luxuriant foliage makes a delightful picture.
