Kamm's Zerograph Syndicate, Limited (46,406).— This Company was registered on December 27th with a capital of £12,000 in £1 shares, to enter into an agreement with Leo Kamm and to acquire, develop, turn to account, and deal with certain patents relating to telegraphy. The subscribers (with one share each), are :— L. Kamm, 1, Gresley Road, Hornsey, electrician; H. F. Hoveler, 97c, Queen Victoria Street, E.C., merchant; S. Reuschel, 112, Ivydale Road, 8 E., merchant; F. W. Von Limburg, 7, Mincing Lane, E.C., broker; C. Hess, 261, Burdett Road, E., manager; H. Hempel, 7, New Basinghall Street, E.C., merchant; J. W. T. Cutlan, 21, Station Parade, Hornsey, manufacturer. The number of directors is not to be less than two nor more than 20; qualification £100; remuneration £100 per annum divisible. Registered office, 133, Old Street, E.C.

The Electrical Review, vol. 38, nº 945, 3 janvier 1896, p. 22.

THE FILMLESS ANIMATOGRAPH (LIMITED).— -This Company has been registered by Messrs. Steadman & Van Praagh, of 23, Old Broad-street, E.C., with a capital of 600ol. in 1l. shares. The objects of the Company are to enter into an agreement with Leo Kamm, and to manufacture, sell, exhibit, and deal with photographic and scientific apparatus and materials. The first Directors, to number not less than three, nor more than seven, are to be nominated by the subscribers. Qualification, 50l. Remuneration as the Company may decide.

The British Journal of Photography, vol XLIV, nº 1950, 17 septembre 1897, p. 604.

THE KAMMATOGRAPH.
This instrument, so named after its inventor, Mr. L. Kamm, an electrical engineer, is the latest contribution to the art of cinematography, and is remarkable for the circumstance that it does not employ celluloid or any other kind of film. The pictures to form what is popularly known as an "animated photograph" are taken, to the number of nearly six hundred, upon a circular glass plate coated with gelatine emulsion. This plate, which is 12in. in diameter, fits into the camera, and by turning a handle it is caused to rotate, to make the necessary stop for exposure at every fourteenth of a second, and to execute a slow lateral movement, so that the pictures are impressed spirally upon its surface. The negative so taken is developed in a dish in the natal manner, and a positive, upon another circular plate, is printed by contact. The positive disc, after development, goes into the camera, the whole contrivance is fixed up in front of a lantern body, and the animated picture is projected upon a screen. The Kammatograph is intended for home use by amateur photographers, and the projected pictures are large enough for such a purpose. The instrument is thoroughly practical in character, and speaks well for the ingenuity of its inventor. The circular plates are supplied by Messrs. Marion, who will, doubtless be able to afford further particulars concerning this very clever contrivance.

Ainsi les "improvements in and relating to Safety Shutters for Kinematographs" (GB 1906 24953A du 6 novembre 1906), les "Improvements in Kinematographs" (GB 1906 23904A du 26 octobre 1906), les "Improvements in Film Gates for Kinematograph Machines" (GB 1907 24157A du 1er novembre 1907)...

PIONNERS OF THE TRADE
Cinema Traders and Kamm
ONE of the pioneer engineering firms of the Industry, Cinema Traders, Ltd., who, in association with Kamm, another well-established concern, will occupy Stand Nº 3. All equipment appertaining to the technical side of kinemas is designed and produced by these companies.
The wide range of product with which they deal will be illustrated by samples from their comprehensive stock.
Many scientific refinements introduced into the Kamm talkie equipment have made this set one to which the discerning exhibitor turns with specialist interest.
With prices ranging from £400 to £800, including projector, the Kamm is among the range which appeals on account of price as well as quality, the hire-purchase scheme affording a particular advantage in this direction.
Compact and efficient, with a novel control switch and device for checking turntable speeds, it is soundly engineered, while tonal quality leaves nothing to be desired.
Exhibitors should certainly make a point of visiting the stand, where W. and F. C. Engelke and W. Berryman will be on duty.
