A Skirmish With the Turks in the Balkans

By one of the most important Insurgent Bands, under the direct lead, of GENERAL TZONTCHEFF.

The first section gives a general view of the snow covered Balkan Mountains with the Insurgent Band wending their way through the deep snow. They rest in the middle of the day and light a fire. The man on the look-out gives an alarm to the General, who orders his men under arms ready for an attack. They take fresh cover and await the onslaught of the Turks, who fire at them from a distant knoll. The lnsurgents now take matters in hand, and their mode of fighting is here shown to great advantage.
