THANET

THE ROYAL ASSEMBLY ROOMS.-At this place of entertainment during the coming week Mr. David Devant’s well-known series of animated photographs will be exhibited. Some of the films will treat of the most up-to-date subjects. Mr. Griffith Humphreys, versatile entertainer already known to the Ramsgate public, will enliven the proceedings with some amusing drawing-room sketches.

Thanet Advertiser, Saturday 9 April 1898, 2.

ROYAL ASSEMBLY ROOMS.
During the week Mr. David Devant’s Animated Photographs have been on exhibition the Royal Assembly Rooms, George-street. The views are remarkably good, among most popular being that representing Ranjitsinghji batting in Australia. Mr. Griffith Humphreys, a most versatile entertainer, gives a number of intensely amusing interludes. The operator is Mr. Ernest Wighton, from the Egyptian Hall, London. The closing performances will be given this afternoon and evening.Thanet Advertiser, Thanet, 16 April 1898, p. 5.
